In a nailing machine where a nail supplied into a projection opening (7) formed in a nose section (8) is hammered by a driver to hammer out the nail from the projection opening (7), a nail guide member (21) is provided on the front side of the projection opening (7). A leading guide groove (23) is provided in the nail guide member (21), and the leading guide groove (23) leads the head of the nail hammered out from inside the projection opening (7). A protrusion (24) whose outer shape is formed in a truncated tapered shape is provided on the nail guide member (21). On the upper side of the protrusion (24) is provided a swollen section (30) coming into contact with the surface of a building metal member. The protrusion (24) is inserted into a nail hole formed in the building metal member to position the nailing machine. The swollen section (30) functions as the fulcrum of rotation of the nailing machine when it is tilted forward.
