A nail set comprises a core having a proximal impact end end, a distal end, and a handle molded around the core. Replaceable tips are each separately and independently securable to the distal end of the core via an axial shaft extending outwardly from the tip, which axial shaft fits into a co-operating axial opening in the distal end of the core. Each of the tips is secured within the opening in the core by means of a ball-spring arrangement. An enlarged protective portion, preferably comprising a pair of opposed wing portions, extends laterally outwardly from an upper portion of the core. The enlarged protective portion includes a plurality of storage recesses for storing the tips.
Cette invention concerne un chasse-clou comportant une âme présentant un bout proximal d'impact, un bout distal et une poignée moulée autour de l'âme. Le chasse-clou est accompagné de pointes remplaçables qui se fixent séparément à son bout distal au moyen d'une tige axiale en saillie qui se loge dans une ouverture axiale de forme et de dimensions appropriées ménagée dans ledit bout distal de l'âme. La fixation des pointes se fait au moyen d'un mécanisme à bille et ressort. Une section protectrice élargie prenant de préférence la forme d'une paire d'ailes opposées est prévue dans la partie supérieure du chasse-clou. Cette section comporte plusieurs évidements où ranger les pointes non utilisées.
