A medical device is disclosed which may include the use of nanopaper. The medical device may be provided in the form of a balloon catheter wherein the nanopaper is mounted about an electrode and into which an electrically conductive solution is dispersed. An elastomeric sheath may then be provided about the nanopaper. Actuation of the electrode may cause generation of microbubbles causing the nanopaper to expand.
L'invention concerne un dispositif médical pouvant comprendre l'utilisation de nanopapier. Le dispositif médical peut se présenter sous la forme d'un cathéter à ballonnet dans lequel le nanopapier est monté autour d'une électrode et dans lequel est dispersée une solution électroconductrice. Une gaine élastomère peut ensuite être ménagée autour du nanopapier. L'actionnement de l'électrode peut engendrer la formation de microbulles provoquant la dilatation du nanopapier.
