Pathways to the fabrication of nanocylinder arrays are provided. Methods are described for the production of well-ordered arrays of nanopores, nanowired, and other materials. This is accomplished by orienting copolymer films and removing a component from the film to produce nanopores that in turn can be filled with materials to produce the arrays. The resulting arrays can be used to produce nanoscale media, devices, and systems.

L'invention concerne des procédés de fabrication rapides et fiables de matrices de cylindres nanométriques. L'invention concerne plus particulièrement des procédés simples permettant de fabriquer des matrices bien ordonnées de tubes nanométriques, de fils nanométriques et autres matériaux. Ce procédé consiste à orienter des films copolymères et à retirer un composant du film, de manière à produire des pores nanométriques qui, à leur tour, sont remplis à l'aide de matériaux pour créer les matrices. Les matrices ainsi obtenues peuvent être utilisées pour élaborer des supports, des dispositifs et des systèmes nanométriques.
