A method is disclosed for controlling communication over a single communication facility such as a channel on CATV or a frequency band over a wireless system or frequency band on a wired system, between Multi-Master units. The method allows for one Master to poll other transceivers for data such as meter reading or reprogram the transceivers to control energy consumption and display information.
