A nasal cannula (10) for delivering air to a patient's nare (14). Two delivery tubes (20) and (21) are provided to supply air to a pair of nasal inserts (12) and (13) each of which conform to the shape of the nare (14). Properly placed bleed ports (16) and (17) reduce noise and reduce carbon dioxide retained in the system. The cannula (10) is positioned on the face with the aid of a strap system (18).

L'invention concerne une canule nasale (10) permettant d'administrer de l'air à une narine (14) d'un patient. Deux tubes d'administration (20, 21) permettent d'alimenter en air une paire d'éléments d'insertion (12, 13) destinés à être insérés dans le nez, chacun épousant la forme de la narine (14). Des orifices d'évacuation (16, 17) correctement placés réduisent le bruit et le dioxyde de carbone retenu dans le système.
