The invention relates to a packaged spray device (4), suitable for spraying into a bodily cavity, the device comprising a spray generator, a fluid reservoir and a nosepiece (5) having an exit surface, particularly to a device adapted to produce a spray comprising a fluid ligament with a spray cone diverging from one end of the ligament. Preferably the device is an electrostatic spray device wherein the spray cone comprises charged droplets. The invention further relates to a method of administering a fluid into the nasal cavity from a spray device without substantial penetration of the device into the nostrils. The device and method of the invention provide for gentle yet reliable delivery of a nasal treatment agent into the nasal cavity, especially into the nasal cavity of a human in need of nasal treatment such as decongestion. The particular characteristics of the spray enable it to be delivered without substantial penetration of the nostrils and yet for it effectively to reach the target area.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif (4) de pulvérisation conditionné adapté à la pulvérisation dans une cavité corporelle, le dispositif comprenant un générateur de pulvérisation, un réservoir pour le fluide et un embout nasal (5) pourvu d'une surface de sortie, le dispositif étant plus particulièrement adapté pour produire une pulvérisation sous forme d'un faisceau de fluide présentant un cône de pulvérisation qui diverge depuis une extrémité du faisceau. Le dispositif est de préférence un dispositif de pulvérisation électrostatique dans lequel le cône de pulvérisation contient des gouttelettes chargées. Cette invention concerne également un procédé d'administration d'un fluide à l'intérieur de la cavité nasale avec un dispositif de pulvérisation mais cependant sans que ce dernier pénètre sensiblement dans les narines. Le dispositif et le procédé de cette invention permettent d'apporter de manière fiable mais cependant en douceur un agent de traitement nasal dans la cavité nasale, plus spécialement à l'intérieur de la cavité nasale d'une personne nécessitant un traitement nasal tel que la décongestion. Les caractéristiques particulières de la pulvérisation permettent à cette dernière d'être effectuée, et distribuée dans la cavité nasale sans qu'il existe de pénétration substantielle dans les narines, la pulvérisation atteignant cependant de manière efficace la zone ciblée.
