Antitumor or antiviral substances represented by general formula (1) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, being efficacious against cancers and viruses on which the existing antitumor agents and antiviral agents cannot exert sufficient effects, exhibiting carcinostatic and antiviral effects on various tolerant cancers, and having relieved side effects without damaging normal human cells. In said formula, RI represents a nucleic acid base represented by a specific formula; and R2 represents hydrogen, hydroxy or methoxy. A process for producing the substances represented by formula (1) or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, which comprises culturing NS cells capable of producing the compounds of formula (1) and taking up the compounds of formula (1) from the culture medium and optionally converting the same into pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. Drugs containing the above compounds as the active ingredients and CD57- positive and strongly HLA.DR- positive human natural suppressor cells.

L'invention concerne des substances antitumorales ou antivirales représentées par la formule générale (1), ou des sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables de celles-ci, efficaces contre les cancers et les virus contre lesquels les agents antitumoraux n'ont pas d'effet suffisant, et ayant une action cancérostatique et antivirale sur différents cancers tolérants, exempts d'effets secondaires et n'endommageant pas les cellules humaines normales. Dans la formule (1), R1 représente une base d'acide nucléique représentée par une formule spécifique; et R2 représente hydrogène, méthoxy ou hydroxy. L'invention porte aussi sur un procédé de production des substances de formule (1) ou de sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables de celles-ci, qui consiste à mettre des cellules NS capables de produire les composés de formule (1), de prélever lesdits composés dans le milieu de culture et éventuellement de les convertir en sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables de ceux-ci. L'invention se rapporte également à des médicaments contenant comme principes actifs lesdits composés et des cellules suppressives naturelles CD57 positives et fortement HLA.DR positives.
