Le gaz naturel arrivant par le conduit 1 est désacidifié par mise en contact avec un solvant dans la colonne C2. Le solvant chargé en composés acides est régénéré dans la zone R. Le gaz purifié évacué par le conduit 9 comporte une partie du solvant. Le procédé permet d'extraire le solvant contenu dans le gaz purifié. Le gaz purifié est mis en contact dans la zone ZA avec un liquide ionique non-aqueux ayant pour formule générale Q+ A-, Q+ désignant un cation ammonium, phosphonium et/ou sulfonium, et A- désignant un anion susceptible de former un sel liquide. Le gaz purifié appauvri en solvant est évacué par le conduit 17. Le liquide ionique chargé en solvant est régénéré par chauffage dans le dispositif d'évaporation DE. Le solvant séparés du liquide ionique dans le dispositif DE sont recyclés.
