ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This disclosure relates to an automatically-catching neck frame for cattle which is adapted to be suspended in a cattle stand. The neck frame includes an inverted essentially U-shaped main frame having a head opening and a neck opening for the animal. A closing lever is mounted on the frame such that when the animal puts his head through the head opening and then lowers its neck downwardly through the neck opening so as to reach the manger, the closing lever will be automatically actuated to close and lock in place so that the animal is prevented from pulling its head out of the frame.
