A necktie (10) comprising, a tie (20) having a through opening (34), an accessory piece (40), and means (25 and 54) to secure the accessory piece (40) onto the tie (20). A user in a first configuration wears the tie (20) when the accessory piece (40) is secured thereto, and the tie (20) is tied in a knot. The tie (20) is worn by a user in a second configuration when the accessory piece (40) is secured thereto and the lower end (46) of the accessory piece (40) is inserted through the through opening (34). The means (25 and 54) to secure the accessory piece (40) onto the tie (20) comprises removable securing means or permanent securing means. The accessory piece (40) may be a same or different color as the tie (20) and the accessory piece (40) may also be a same or different pattern as the tie (20).
