The invention relates to a needle-less injector having a housing comprising: a chamber defined within said injector for containing liquid to be injected; a liquid outlet for said chamber positioned at the front end of the injector; a dispensing member in contact with the liquid in said chamber and movable in a first direction to reduce the volume of said chamber to cause the liquid contained therein to be expelled through said liquid outlet; drive means for actuating said injector, wherein the dispensing member is a spring-loaded piston movable in said chamber by the spring in the first direction to a preferred position at which the volume of said chamber is at a minimum and the spring is nearly unloaded, and which piston is movable in a second direction opposite to the first direction by actuation of the drive means whilst counteracting a force from the spring and moving the piston to a non-preferred position at which the spring is loaded.

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'injection sans aiguille constitué d'un logement comprenant: une chambre définie à l'intérieur de ce dispositif afin de contenir un liquide à injecter, cette chambre comportant une sortie de liquide disposée à l'extrémité avant du dispositif d'injection, un élément de distribution en contact avec le liquide contenu dans la chambre et se déplaçant dans une première direction afin de réduire le volume de la chambre provoquant ainsi l'expulsion du liquide par la sortie, et des moyens d'entraînement permettant d'actionner le dispositif d'injection. Dans ce dispositif, l'élément de distribution est constitué d'un piston se déplaçant dans la chambre, dans la première direction, grâce à l'action d'un ressort, jusqu'à une position préférée pour laquelle le volume de la chambre est minimum et le ressort presque en bout de course, le piston se déplaçant dans une seconde direction, opposée à la première, par mise en marche des moyens d'entraînement, s'opposant à la force antagoniste du ressort, amenant le piston dans une position opposée dans laquelle le ressort est comprimé.
