To enable a user to readily determine the gauge of the needle of a needle assembly (2) that has a base (4) and a needle protective housing (6) pivotably attached thereto, the needle assembly (2) is injection molded from a color coded molding material which color was preassigned to correspond to the gauge of the needle (12). As a result, both the base (4) and the protective housing (6) of the needle assembly (2)have-the same specific color, and reflect or provide an indication of the given gauge of the needle (12). The needle sheath (26) that covers the needle (12) prior to use may be made of a plastics material that may be clear, or have the same or a different color than that of the needle assembly. The gauge of the needle (12) of a fixed needle syringe (48) could also be ascertained by its color coded needle protective housing. Color coded markings that correspond to the gauge of the needle (12) may also be printed onto the syringe barrel of the fixed needle syringe (48).
Pour permettre à un utilisateur de déterminer facilement la jauge d'une aiguille d'un ensemble aiguille (2) comprenant une base (4) et un logement protecteur d'aiguille (6) fixé de manière pivotante sur ladite base, l'ensemble aiguille (2) est moulé par injection à partir d'un matériau de moulage à codage couleur, ladite couleur étant préattribuée afin de correspondre à la jauge de l'aiguille (12). En conséquence, à la fois la base (4) et le logement protecteur (6) de l'ensemble aiguille (2) présentent la même couleur spécifique, et renvoient ou fournissent une indication sur la jauge donnée de l'aiguille (12). La gaine (26) qui recouvre l'aiguille (12) avant son utilisation peut être en matière plastique claire ou posséder une couleur identique ou différente de celle de l'ensemble aiguille. La jauge (12) d'une seringue (48) à aiguille fixe peut également être identifiée par son logement protecteur d'aiguille à codage couleur. Les marques de codage couleur qui correspondent à la jauge de l'aiguille (12) peuvent également être imprimées sur le cylindre de la seringue (48) à aiguille fixe.
