A needleless syringe capable of accelerating particles into a target surface is provided. The syringe comprises a body (20, 21, 22) having a lumen with a diaphragm (26) located adjacent to a terminus thereof. Particles are delivered from an external surface of the diaphragm (26) by means of the motive force provided by the impact of a shockwave imparted to the internal surface of the diaphragm. A method for delivering particles from the needleless syringe is also provided.

L'invention concerne une seringue sans aiguille capable d'accélérer des particules sur une surface cible, comprenant un corps (20, 21, 22) présentant une ouverture munie d'un diaphragme (26) adjacent à une partie terminale de celle-ci. Les particules sont fournies à partir d'un surface extérieure du diaphragme (26) via une force motrice obtenue par l'impact d'une onde de choc impartie à la surface intérieure du diaphragme. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de fournir des particules à partir de cette seringue sans aiguille.
