A telephone call distribution system for determining destination for an incoming telephone call in a telephony network including a service control point (SCP) operates with a plurality of workstations each comprising a telephone coupled to the telephony network and a proximate computer station having a video display unit (PC/VDU), the PC/VDO connected to the SCP via a wide range area network (WAN), and a personal router associated with each PC/VDU. The SCP broadcasts data pertaining to the incoming telephone call and a request for a destination to individual ones of the PC/VDUs via the WAN, and the personal roofers negotiate a destination based on individual routing rules and the data pertaining to the call. At least one of the individual routers responds to the SCP with a destination for the call. In some instances the workstations are associated with a call center, and the call center may be CTI-enhanced. Individual routers in this instance may be exectued on a server on a local area network connecting workstations at the call center, the server providing individual routers to workstations in a client-server relationship.
L'invention concerne un système de répartition d'appels téléphoniques pour déterminer la destination d'un appel téléphonique entrant, dans un réseau téléphonique comprenant un point de commande de services (PCS). Ledit système fonctionne conjointement avec plusieurs postes de travail comprenant chacun un téléphone couplé au réseau téléphonique et un poste informatique proche ayant un visuel (PC/VDU) connecté au PCS par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau étendu (RE), et un routeur personnel associé à chaque PC/VDU. Le SCP diffuse des données relatives à l'appel téléphonique entrant et une demande de destination à certains PC/VDU individuels par l'intermédiaire du RE, le routeur personnel négocie une destination en fonction de règles d'acheminement séparées et des données relatives à l'appel. Au moins un des routeurs individuels répond au PCS en donnant une destination à l'appel. Dans certains cas, les postes de travail sont associés à un centre téléphonique, lequel peut être amélioré par une connexion CTI. Les routeurs individuels, dans ce cas, peuvent être exploités sur le serveur d'un réseau local connectant les postes de travail au niveau du centre téléphonique, le serveur fournissant des routeurs individuels aux postes de travail selon une relation client-serveur.
