The synthesis and use of neoglycoproteins is described. Monosialolactose and disialolactose are isolated from bovine colostrum and coupled by means of a coupling reagent to human serum albumin (HSA) as carrier protein. These neoglycoproteins are suitable as vaccines and, moreover, as ligands for the localization and therapy of lectin-expressing tumor tissues.
