A neuronal differentiation promoting agent for neural stem cells comprising, as an active ingredient, at least one compound selected from the group consisting of an .omega.-3 unsaturated fatty acid having 18 to 22 carbon atoms, an .omega.-6 unsaturated fatty acid and derivatives thereof. The promoting agent can be used for induction of differentiation of neural stem cells and is useful for treatment and/or prevention of a variety of neurological diseases and in the fields of transplantation/regenerative medicine for nerves.

La présente invention concerne un agent qui favorise la différenciation neuronale pour des cellules souches neurales et qui comprend, comme ingrédient actif, au moins un composé sélectionné dans le groupe constitué par un acide gras non saturé ?-3 ayant de 18 à 22 atomes de carbone, un acide gras non saturé ?-6 et des dérivés de ceux-ci. Un tel agent peut être utilisé pour l'induction de la différenciation des cellules souches neurales et est utile pour le traitement et/ou la prévention d'une gamme de maladies neurologiques et dans les champs de la transplantation et de la médecine régénératrice des nerfs.
