A cup holder for beverage cups, such as coffee cups, has an annular ring element of low profile which is of conical shape to snugly fit against the outer wall of the cup and a plurality of circumferentially-spaced dentiform wedge-shaped protrusions extending from the lower extremity of the ring element. The protrusions have a degree of flexibility which permits the outer wall of the cup to be gripped thereby, resisting removal thereof. The cup holder which may be molded from polymeric material, includes a handle integrally-formed with the ring element of obround shape in side-elevational view and lying in a plane containing the axis of the ring element.
