A system and method for processing financial payments is provided in which there is at least one user terminal, at least one account processor, and a processing server. The processing server receives financial transaction data from at least one user terminal and communicates with at least one account processor, the financial transaction data comprising an amount and an account number. The processing server determines which of the account processors corresponds to the financial transaction data and transmits at least part of the financial transaction data to the determined account processor. The user terminal requires no special software other than standard web browser software. The server can update an account processor and a general ledger.

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de traiter des opérations financières. Ce système comprend au moins un terminal utilisateur, au moins un opérateur de compte et un serveur de traitement. Le serveur de traitement reçoit les données d'opérations financières transmises par au moins un terminal utilisateur et il communique avec au moins un opérateur de compte. Les opérations financières comprennent une somme et un numéro de compte. Le serveur de traitement détermine l'opérateur de compte correspondant aux données d'opérations financières puis il transmet au moins une partie de ces données à l'opérateur de compte déterminé. Le terminal utilisateur ne nécessite aucun logiciel spécial autre qu'un logiciel classique de navigation. Le serveur peut mettre à jour un opérateur de compte et un grand livre général.
