Compounds of formula (I) wherein: Q represents an amidino group, a cyano group or a group of formula XYN-, (where X and Y are hydrogen or various groups); R a represents alkylene; R b and R c each represents alkylene, the total number of carbon atoms in said straight chains of R b and R c being 7); R2 and R3 each represents hydrogen, or a group of formula R, RCO-, ROCO-, or RNHCO-, where R represents alkyl or aryl; the chiral carbon atom indicated by the asterisk is in the L configuration; Z is an aromatic amino acid residue; n is 0 or 1; R1 represents hydrogen, alkyl or aryl; and W represents hydrogen, alkyl or aryl; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof have the ability to protect against the neuronal damage which may be caused by an ischemic event.
L'invention concerne des composés représentés par la formule (I), dans laquelle Q représente un groupe amidino, un groupe cyano ou un groupe représenté par la formule XYN- (dans laquelle X et Y représentent hydrogène ou différents groupes); R<a> représente alkylène; R<b> et R<c> représentent chacun alkylène, le nombre total d'atomes de carbone dans les chaînes droites de R<b> et R<c> s'élevant à 7; R<2> et R<3> représentent chacun hydrogène ou un groupe représenté par la formule R, RCO-, ROCO-, ou RNHCO-, dans laquelle R représente alkyle ou aryle; l'atome de carbone chiral signalé par un astérisque présente la configuration <u>L</u>; Z représente un résidu d'amino acide aromatique; n représente 0 ou 1; R<1> représente hydrogène, alkyle ou aryle; et W représente hydrogène, alkyle ou aryle. L'invention concerne également des sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables desdits composés. Lesdits composés et lesdits sels peuvent fournir une protection contre une lésion neuronale provoquée par une ischémie.
