There is disclosed an isolated nucleic acid molecule encoding a human neurotrophic growth factor designated enovin and having the amino acid sequence illustrated in Figure 1, 21, 23 or 24 or encoding a functional equivalent, derivative or bioprecursor of said growth factor. The growth factor preferably comprises the amino acid sequence from position 27 to 139 of the sequence illustrated in Figure 1, or a functional equivalent, derivative or bioprecursor thereof. The nucleic acid molecule encoding enovin can be used to transform a host cell, tissue or organism by including it in an appropriate vector. The host cell, tissue or organism and the vector also form part of the invention.
La présente invention concerne une molécule isolée d'acide nucléique codant pour un facteur de croissance neurotrophique humain appelé énovine qui présente la séquence d'acides aminés représentée dans les figures 1, 21, 23 ou 24 et codant pour un équivalent, un dérivé ou un bioprécurseur fonctionnel du facteur de croissance en question. Ce facteur de croissance comprend de préférence la séquence d'acides aminés allant des positions 27 à 139 de la séquence représentée à la figure 1, ou bien un équivalent, dérivé ou bioprécurseur fonctionnel de ladite séquence. La molécule d'acide nucléique codant pour l'énovine peut être utilisée pour transformer une cellule, un tissu ou un organisme hôte par inclusion d'un vecteur approprié. L'invention concerne également cette cellule, ce tissu et cet organisme hôte ainsi que le vecteur.
