A neutral particle generator is disclosed that includes a container which holds a material in at least a partial plasma state, for example a Deuterium plasma. In one form, a first cathode is positioned within the container and produces a first beam of neutral particles directed away from the first cathode. Optionally, a second cathode is also positioned within the container and produces a second beam of neutral particles directed away from the second cathode, and/or a target is also positioned within the container. In one form, the first cathode and the second cathode are linearly opposed so that the first beam interacts/collides with the second beam resulting in fusion reactions of at least some of the neutral particles, which thereby results in generation of emitted neutrons.
Linvention concerne un générateur de particules neutres qui comprend un contenant dans lequel se trouve une matière dans un état de plasma au moins partiel, par exemple un plasma de deutérium. Un mode de réalisation de linvention comprend une première cathode placée dans le contenant et qui produit un premier faisceau de particules neutres dirigées à partir de cette première cathode. Facultativement, le contenant peut contenir une seconde cathode qui est aussi positionnée dans le contenant et qui produit un second faisceau de particules neutres dirigées à partir de cette seconde cathode, et/ou une cible qui est aussi positionnée dans le contenant. Selon un autre mode de réalisation de linvention, la première cathode et la seconde cathode sont opposées linéairement de sorte que le premier faisceau interagisse/entre en collision avec le second faisceau, générant ainsi des réactions de fusion dau moins certaines des particules neutres et entraînant ainsi la génération de neutrons émis.
