ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Highly advantageous corrosion control can be provided in the overhead systems of crude oil distillation units through the use of 2-ethyl hexylamine and tert-alkyl amines having greater than 7 but less than 14 carbon atoms. These amines are generally liquid, and the amine salts formed when the amines are contacted with access acid are soluble in both aqueous and hydrocarbon phases.
