A card holder which permits the extraction of one or more cards from a stack of cards, which in its operating mode has no moving parts. The holder has an inventory control feature consisting of a calibrated compression device, which can be utilized to determine the quantity of cards remaining inside each compartment. The unit's housing consists of a top, base, back, fixed front, moveable front, bottom card support and first and second sides. A first part of the housing is selectively moveable between an open and closed position to permit the loading of cards into the plurality of interior vertical compartments. Below each vertical compartment is a bottom card support, which is positioned lower than and behind the front, into which a finger slot is cut under each compartment to facilitate card extraction. The lower fixed frontal member of the housing, adjacent each compartment enhances the structural integrity of the housing while maintaining the lowest group of cards in a stable position when the moveable front is in either the opened or closed position. Cards are removed from the holder by means of manually extracting the cards outward from the space between the fixed frontal member and the bottom card support.
