The formulations comprise an alkyl C1-C8 cyanoacrylate and an alkyl C1-C8 carboxyacrylate in a proportion from 10 to 30 % by volume with respect to the cyanoacrylate. The alkyl carboxyacrylate of formula (I) is a new product which is obtained from the corresponding cyanoacrylate by hydrolysis with hydrochloric acid. The compositions are packaged in independent containers the content of which is mixed not more than one hour before its use. It can be used in surgery as alternative means for the traditional suture and is specially appropriate in ophthalmics surgery.
Les formulations comprennent un cyanoacrylate d'alkyle C1-C8 et un carboxyacrylate d'alkyle C1-C8 en une proportion allant de 10 à 30 % en volume par rapport au cyanoacrylate. Le carboxyacrylate d'alkyle de formule (I) est un produit nouveau qui est obtenu à partir du cyanoacrylate correspondant par hydrolyse avec de l'acide chlorhydrique. Les formulations sont conditionnées dans des récipients indépendants dont le contenu est mélangé tout au plus une heure avant leur utilisation. Ces formulations sont utiles en chirurgie comme moyen substitutif de la suture classique, et sont particulièrement appropriées en chirurgie ophthalmique.
