This is a surgical instrument for removing a cataract from a patient's eye including a hollow vibrating needle (16) surrounded by two hollow infusion sleeves (10, 18). The outer sleeve (10) conforms to the incision in the eye and the inner sleeve (18) prevents the outer sleeve from collapsing onto the hollow, vibrating needle.
