The subject of the present invention is calcium phosphates in the form of granules presenting an x-ray diffraction pattern characteristic of hydroxyapatite and good compressibility and flow characteristics in direct compression applications. The invention also pertains to the preparation process for said granules characterized by the fact that it comprises treating a suspension of brushite dicalcium phosphate having a certain particle-size distribution by means of a basic solution, and keeping its pH at least at 7.0 for a sufficient period of time to permit the transformation of brushite calcium phosphate into hydroxyapatite calcium phosphate.
La présente invention a pour objet des phosphates de calcium sous forme de granulés présentant un diagramme de diffraction aux rayons X caractéristique de l'hydroxyapatite et de bonnes caractéristiques de compressibilité et d'écoulement dans les applications à compression directe. L'invention vise également le procédé de préparation desdits granulés caractérisé par le fait qu'il comprend le traitement d'une suspension de phosphate dicalcique de brushite ayant une certaine répartition granulométrique, à l'aide d'une solution basique, le maintien du pH à au moins 7,0, pendant une période de temps suffisante pour permettre la transformation du phosphate de calcium de brushite en phosphate de calcium d'hydroxyapatite.
