Title: The present invention provides an isolated polynucleotide comprising the kstD promoter from Rhodococcus erythropolis. The polynucleotide can very advantageously be used as a controllable transcription activator. Said controlling function can be provided by providing said isolated polynucleotide with a nucleotide sequence encoding a transcription regulator of said promoter. In the present invention, such a transcription regulator may be externally induced, such as by introduction of steroidal compounds. In an alternative embodiment of the present invention the isolated polynucleotide may comprise the kstR gene or a homologue or a functional part thereof as the transcription regulator of the kstD promoter.
La présente invention se rapporte à un polynucléotide isolé contenant le promoteur de kstD issu de Rhodococcus erythropolis. Ledit polynucléotide peut très avantageusement servir d'activateur de transcription régulable. Cette fonction de régulation peut être assurée par l'apport audit polynucléotide isolé d'une séquence nucléotidique codant un régulateur de transcription dudit promoteur. Selon la présente invention, un tel régulateur de transcription peut être induit de manière externe, par exemple par l'introduction de composés stéroïdiques. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le polynucléotide isolé peut contenir le gène kstR, ou un homologue ou une partie fonctionnelle dudit gène, en tant que régulateur de transcription du promoteur de kstD.
