The present invention relates to a peptide capable of inducing an immune response against the Zona Pellucida protein ZP3, said peptide having an amino acid sequence of 8-50 amino acid residues and comprising at least the amino acid sequence PLWLLQ or analogues thereof. More specifically, the peptides according to the invention comprise at least the amino acid sequence QPLWLLQG. Further embodiments of the invention relate to antibodies raised against the peptides according to the invention, contraceptive vaccines comprising said peptides or said antibodies, as well as a test kit for the detection of autoimmune antibodies against ZP3 in a test sample.
L'invention concerne un peptide susceptible d'induire une réponse immune contre la protéine ZP3 de la zone pellucide, ce peptide possédant une séquence d'acides aminés comprenant 8 à 50 restes d'acides aminés ainsi qu'au moins la séquence PLWLLQ ou des analogues de celle-ci. Plus particulièrement, les peptides selon l'invention comprennent au moins la séquence d'acides aminés QPLWLLQG. On décrit encore des anticorps dirigés contre les peptides selon l'invention, des vaccins contraceptifs comprenant ces peptides ou ces anticorps, ainsi qu'un nécessaire d'essai destiné à la détection des anticorps auto-immuns dirigés contre la protéine ZP3 dans un échantillon d'essai.
