It is to create a new rail transportation system called a Train Ferry, for the movement of people and vehicles, similiar to a Boat Ferry System. It will require new rail tracks and or in some cases to modify the exieting rail tracks to accomodate the 18 or 20 foot wide triple deck rail cars. It is a revised form of what is in use to-day. The object of this restructuring is to set up a vehicle train ferry from point to point across Canada and elsewhere. In Canadas case it would start from Quebec City through to Calgary with stops in between to be determined. In future it could be extended to St. John N.B. when funds are made available to cross the St. Lawerence River.
