ABSTRACT The present invention related to isothiouronium phosphites of the formula: Image wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R2 represents an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 18 carbon atoms, and R3 and R4, which may be the same or different, each represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical containing from 6 to 18 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl radical containing from 3 to 7 carbon atoms, an alkenyl radical containing from 3 to 18 carbon atoms, a phenyl radical or a benzyl radical which possess fungicidal and bactericidal properties.
