The invention concerns an organosoluble (meth)acrylic resin composition comprising a polymer with units derived from methylacrylic acid esterified by Ti(OR)3 groups, in mixture with free Ti(OR)4, which represents the excess Ti(OR)4 introduced for preparation of the polymer in sufficient quantity for the resulting composition to be organosoluble and not in the form of gel, R representing an ethyl radical, isopropyl, n-butyl, t-butyl, 2-ethylhexyl or t-amyl. It may be the product of esterification in a solvent medium of a polymer including units derived from methylacrylic acid by Ti(OR)4, the molar ratio Ti/COOH being greater than 1, or the product of radical polymerization in a solvent medium of at least one methacrylic acid esterified by Ti(OR)3 and at least one comonomer, in the presence of Ti(OR)4, in a quantity that would have corresponded to a reaction between methacrylic acid and Ti(OR)4 with a molar ratio 1/x, x>1. The composition based on the invention is useful as a binder in antifouling marine paint compositions.
L'invention concerne une composition organosoluble de résine (méth)acrylique comprenant un polymère comportant des motifs dérivés de l'acide méthacrylique estérifiés par des groupes -Ti(OR)3, en mélange avec du Ti(OR)4 libre, lequel représente l'excès du Ti(OR)4 ayant été introduit pour la préparation du polymère en quantité suffisante pour que la composition résultante soit organosoluble et non sous forme de gel, R représentant un radical éthyle, isopropyle, n-butyle, t-butyle, 2-éthylhexyle ou t-amyle. Elle peut être le produit d'estérification en milieu solvant d'un polymère comportant des motifs dérivés de l'acide méthacrylique par Ti(OR)4, le rapport molaire Ti/COOH étant supérieur à 1, ou le produit de copolymérisation radicalaire en milieu solvant d'au moins un acide méthacrylique estérifié par Ti(OR)3 et d'au moins un comonomère, en présence de Ti(OR)4, dans une quantité qui aurait correspondu à une réaction entre l'acide méthacrylique et Ti(OR)4 avec un rapport molaire 1/x, x > 1. La composition selon l'invention est utile comme liant dans des compositions de peintures marines antisalissures.
