NI-ZN ELECTROPLATED PRODUCT RESISTANT TO PAINT DELAMINATION ABSTRACT This invention is directed to an improved electroplated and painted product that is resistant to corrosive damage as measured on painted and scribed panels subjected to salt spray and cyclic humidity exposure, such as used to judge corrosion behavior of an automotive body panel. The electroplate layer, underlying a paint layer, is characterized by a two-phase structure and is composed of an alloy of 6.5 to 9.5%, by weight nickel, balance essentially zinc. -1-
