ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A nickel based metal alloy consists essentially of about 25 to 35 atom percent palladium and about 15 to 20 atom percent silicon the balance being essentially nickel and incidental impurities The alloy is espe- cially suited for use as a filler metal in joining steels and superalloys at temperatures less than 1000°C.
