Abstract Stabiliser compositions containing two Ni-containing light-stabilisers selected from the group consisting of the classes 1 to 5: 1. nickel complexes of 2-hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenones 2. nickel complexes of 2,2'-thiobis[4-alkylphenols] 3. nickel complexes of 3,5-dialkyl-4-hydroxybenzoic acid monoalkyl esters 4. nickel complexes of 3,5-dialkyl-4-hydroxybenzylphosphonic acid monoalkyl esters 5. nickel complexes of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-acyl-5-hydroxy- pyrazoles, provided that the two Ni- containing light-stabilisers are of different classes and that compositions comprising both a compound of class 3 and a compound of class 4 are excluded. After being incorporated into the corresponding polyolefins, these stabiliser systems have a synergistic effect which prevents or at least greatly retards decomposition initiated by light and/or oxygen.
