Nickel powders, particularly powders for use as an electrode material, with oxidised surfaces. The nickel/nickel oxide powders are micron sized. The surface oxygen of the nickel powder is NiO, in an amount corresponding to 0,5- 5 mg per m2 or 2-20 molecular surface layers. The powders are produced by a transferred arc plasma process and the oxide is created on the freshly formed particles from nickel vapour when these are still entrained in the carrier gas.

L'invention concerne de nouvelles poudres de nickel, en particulier des poudres servant de matière d'électrode.
