ABREGE DESCRIPTIF L'invention concerne un nouveau colorant nitré benzénique répondant à la formule: (I) Image et les sels cosmétiquement acceptables de ce composé, ainsi que son procédé de préparation par condensation du 3-amino propanol-1 sur le 2-fluoro-5-N,N-bis(.beta.-hydroxyéthyl)amino nitrobenzène. Ce colorant bleu présente une excellente solubilité dans l'eau, le mélange eau/alcool et les sup- ports de teinture usuels. De plus, lorsqu'il est utilisé en association avec un ou plusieurs colorants nitrés ben- zéniques jaunes et éventuellement d'autres colorants directs, il donne, notamment sur cheveux sensibilisés par un trai- tement tel qu'une décoloration ou une permanente, des nuan- ces naturelles ayant une bonne solidité à la lumière et au lavage.
