A nitrogenous condensed-ring compound of the general formula: [I] (wherein the symbols are as defined in the description), or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; and an anti-HIV agent comprising any of the compounds. These compounds are effective in the inhibition of HIV integrase activity and are useful as an anti-HIV agent and as a curative or preventive agent for AIDS. More effective anti-HIV agent can be obtained by the use thereof in combination with another anti-HIV agent, such as a protease inhibitor or a reverse transcriptase inhibitor. Exhibiting of high inhibiting activity specific to integrase would ensure use thereof as a medical agent that is safe to human body and can reduce side effects thereon.
La présente invention concerne un composé azoté à noyau condensé de formule générale (I) (dans laquelle les symboles sont tels que définis dans la description) ou un sel de celui-ci, acceptable d'un point de vue pharmaceutique, ainsi qu'un agent anti-VIH comprenant un de ces composés. Ces composés sont efficaces dans l'inhibition d'une activité d'intégrase de VIH et sont utilisés comme agents anti-VIH et comme agents pour traiter ou prévenir le SIDA. Cet agent anti-VIH peut être plus efficace s'il est utilisé en combinaison avec autre agent anti-VIH, tel qu'un inhibiteur de protéase ou un inhibiteur de la transcriptase inverse. Le composé selon cette invention présentant une très grande activité d'inhibition spécifique à l'intégrase, son utilisation comme agent médical est sûre pour le corps humain et permet de réduire les effets secondaires sur celui-ci.
