ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Organic compositions made by reacting an amino compound, an aldehyde or ketone and a halogenated hydro- carbon having at least ten carbon atoms are useful as additives for lubricants and liquid fuels. Particularly useful are compositions wherein the amino compound is an alkylene polyamine, the aldehyde is formaldehyde and the hydrocarbon is a chlorinated polymer or interpolymer of a C2 to C6 1-olefin.
