A method for determining a proportion of a hydrocarbon constituent in a mixture including at least one hydrocarbon, includes determining at least one nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) property for at least one hydrocarbon constituent in the mixture; correlating an NMR response for the property for each hydrocarbon constituent in the mixture; and from the correlating, calculating the proportion of at least the constituent. A computer program product is also provided.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour déterminer la proportion d'un constituant d'hydrocarbure dans un mélange comprenant au moins un hydrocarbure. Ledit procédé comprend la détermination d'au moins une propriété de résonance magnétique nucléaire (RMN) pour au moins un constituant d'hydrocarbure dans le mélange ; la corrélation d'une réponse RMN pour la propriété pour chaque constituant d'hydrocarbure dans le mélange ; et à partir de la corrélation, le calcul de la proportion du constituant. Un produit de programme informatique est également proposé.
