-20- ABSTRACT A method for forming a no-rinse coating on aluminum and aluminum-containing metals is disclosed. The method provides for the addition of fluoride containing compounds to an aqueous solution of multivalent chromium compounds. The resulting solution, when applied to the aluminum and aluminum-containing metals, provides for increased corrosion protection.
