Dans un tel procédé, on lave lesdits gaz au moyen d'un solvant en effectuant cette opération dans une tour d'absorption main- tenue à une pression supérieure à la pression atmosphérique et à une température comprise entre 5 et 80°C, ledit solvant étant choisi dans la classe formée par les thioéthers, les thioamides et les thiocar- bonates d'alcoyle et pouvant être utilisé pur ou en mélange avec de l'eau. Le procédé est applicable en particulier à l'enrichissement en H2S des gaz acides pauvres en H2S.
