A no turn tag bar includes a tubular member having an exterior surface, a peripheral sidewall defining a central bore, a first end, a second end and a window provided through the peripheral sidewall toward the first end. A contact member extends through the window, the contact member being adapted to create drag against a wall of a bore hole in which the tubular member is positioned. A resilient member acts against the contact member, the resilient member allowing inward movement of the contact member to permit rotation in a first rotational direction, but biasing the contact member into contact with the wall of the bore hole to impede rotation in a second rotational direction. A bar extends transversely across the tubular member toward the second end to prevent passage of objects along the central bore.
