ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The peak value of an input signal is detected for comparison with the instantaneous value of the input signal to control the detected peak value at a constant level in a feedback loop. When the instantaneous value of the input signal exceeds a certain limit established relative to the controlled peak level, an offset voltage is generated to cancel the noise.
