A noise preventer comprising a thin layer of a material having microcapillary passageways placed over the intake opening of a heating aid effectively eliminates noise in hearing aids. It may be used by any available hearing aid and may be conveniently placed over the intake opening on either side of the hearing aid front wall. It may be easily fitted, adjusted and replaced when damaged. It is intended for use with hearing aids designed to be placed in the external auditory canal of the ear with the microphone located at the intake opening, the laudspeaker at the exit opening and the amplifier and battery located between the microphone and the laudspeaker.
