A Noise-Reduced Movable Imprinting Deck Abstract of the Disclosure A noise-reduced imprinting deck is disclosed for use in a postage meter system. The imprinting deck and the peripheral postage meter are mounted on a central frame member that is shock and noise isolated. The connections between the movable deck and the central frame are noise-reducing leaf springs. The leaf springs allow for a highly flexible deck movement, while eliminating relative movement between the deck and the central frame support connections. It is the elimination of the relative movement between the deck support and the deck connections, which greatly decreases the noise output of the deck mechanism.
