NON-AQUEOUS ELECTROLYTES FOR LITHIUM BATTERIES Abstract of the Disclosure An electrochemical cell with enhanced cell performance is disclosed comprising a lithium anode, a cathode, and an electrolyte having a conductivity, in reciprocal ohms per cm, of at least 3.5 and comprising a lithium salt, propylene carbonate and 1,2-dimethoxypropane (1,2-DMP). Greater stability to Li/Mn O2 electrochemical cells is provided by some of the disclosed electrolytes.
