A non-aqueous coating or ink composition having incorporated therein a modified carbon product comprising carbon having attached a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic group is described. Also described is a modified carbon product comprising carbon and an attached organic group having a) an aromatic group and b) at least one group of the formula SO2NR2 or SO2NR(COR) wherein R is independently hydrogen, a C1-C20 substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, a C3-C20 substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl, (C2-C4 alkyleneoxy)x R' or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl; R' is hydrogen, a C1-C20 substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, a C3-C20 substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl, C1-C20 substituted or unsubstituted alkanoyl or substituted or unsubstituted aroyl; and x is from 1 to 40.

Cette invention concerne une composition non aqueuse de revêtement ou d'encre comprenant du carbone auquel est attaché un groupe aromatique substitué ou non; ainsi qu'un produit modifié au carbone comprenant du carbone et un groupe organique attaché contenant a) un groupe aromatique et b) au moins un groupe de formule SO2NR2 ou SO2NR(COR) dans lequel R représente indépendamment hydrogène, un alkyle C1-C20 substitué ou non, un alcényle C3-C20 substitué ou non, (C2-C4 alkylènoxy)xR' ou un aryle substitué ou non; R' représente hydrogène, un alkyle C1-C20 substitué ou non, un alcényle C3-C20 substitué ou non, alcanoyle C1-C20 substitué ou non ou bien aroyle substitué ou non; et x est compris entre 1 et 40.
