Abstract of the Disclosure A non-caking bleaching composition, based on sodium perborate as the active bleaching component, includes certain proportions of sodium perborate tetrahydrate, water soluble inorganic salts, such as sodium silicate, sodium carbonate and sodium sulfate, and a hydratable molecular sieve zeolite. The presence of the molecular sieve zeolite prevents caking of the bleaching composition upon being subjected to moisture, such as may be released from the sodium perborate tetrahydrate during storage. Additionally, it furnishes very finely divided insoluble nuclei which may assist in releasing active oxygen from dissolved sodium perborate in aqueous medium during bleaching operations. Preferably, the bleaching composition is a free flowing parti- culate product, substantially all of which except the sodium perborate tetra- hydrate and molecular sieve zeolite is in spray dried globular bead form. Also, the product is preferably free of phosphorus.
