The composition of a non-chrome post-rinse composition for treating phosphated metal substrates is disclosed. The composition comprises the reaction product of an epoxy-functional material contaiing at least two epoxy groups; and an alkanolamine, or a mixture of alkanolamines. The composition further comprises a group IV-B metal ion, or a mixture of group IV-B metal ions. Also provided is a non-chrome post-rinse concentrate; a process for treating a phosphated metal substrate comprising contacting said phosphated metal substrate with the non-chrome post-rinse composition described above; and the coated article prepared by this process.

Cette invention concerne une composition de post-rinçage sans chrome utile pour traiter des substrats métalliques phosphatés. Cette composition comprend le produit de réaction d'une matière à fonctionnalité époxy contenant au moins deux groupes époxy; et un alcanolamine ou un mélange d'alcanolamines. Ladite composition comprend également un ion métal du groupe IV-B ou un mélange d'ions métal du groupe IV-B. Cette invention concerne également un concentré de post-rinçage sans chrome ; un procédé de traitement d'un substrat métallique phosphaté consistant à mettre en contact ledit substrat métallique phosphaté avec la composition de post-rinçage sans chrome de cette invention; et l'article revêtu préparé au moyen de ce même procédé.
